Deliverance Mosher was born after arrival of the family at Newport, Nova Scotia, close to or during 1760.

She is the eight child of James and Lydia. Deliverance married John Macumber, son of Ichabod Macumber and Lydia Tomlin of Little Compton, Rhode Island and Nova Scotia.

The Newport Township book states "Mrs Deliverance Macumber, relict of John Macumber and daughter of James Mosher died Nov 1857 aged 98. She was the first female born in Newport N.S.
